Your dentist will begin with an assessment and may take an X-ray to check the tooth roots. Once the area is fully numbed, the tooth will be carefully loosened and removed. Stick to soft, easy-to-chew foods such as yoghurt, soup, and mashed potatoes for the first day or two. Avoid hot drinks, alcohol, and anything that might disturb the extraction site. As healing progresses, you can gradually return to your normal diet.
Before your tooth is removed, we use local anaesthetic to completely numb the area. You may feel some pressure, but you should not feel pain.
